Houston Auto Repair

I'm a 27 year old female and up until I started going to Chimney Rock Car Care about two years ago I called my dad every time I took my car in to the shop. Since I don't know much about cars - I consistently felt like I was being taken advantage of by different mechanics around town. That all changed when I switched to Chimney Rock Car Care. They're not out to take advantage of you. They provide good, reasonably priced service and are very transparent about their diagnosis. They don't up sell and they don't tell me I need things that I don't. The only downside is that my dad doesn't get to interrogate mechanics every three months for me anymore!

Went in for a state inspection. I was in and out super quick! I personally know the NEW owner and trust him with all my car needs. It's hard to find an honest and trustworthly mechanic, but Chimney Rock Car Care has it all! I will be back for an oil change shortly!

I saw this shop was under new ownership (Garrett), and immediately had to write a review. This guy is great. He is a former BMW Master Technician. He is an honest worker and has serviced my BMW since I moved to Houston 2 years ago. His rates have always been incredibly fair. Garrett is also great at estimating service time required, and does everything he can to meet his timeline. Did I mention that he is also very skilled? His diagnostic skills are especially great. I highly, highly recommend giving this shop a chance... service you can trust!

No AC?? In Houston in July?? You've got to be kidding me! I took my car here on a friend's recommendation when my AC went out. It's closer to work than the dealership I typically visit, which is definitely convenient. It was pretty quiet there both when I dropped off and picked up my car. Didn't have to wait at all. Apparently they're under new ownership and I found everyone to be super helpful and fair. They even took a guy for an oil change at 6:55, when they were closing at 7. AC running well (leaky hose) and now I'm motorin!

Good place. Good people. Never feels like their taking advantage of you.

The work has always been good but can be slow

Great auto place to take your car into, I brought my car and everything went well they told me when to come and pick up it worked great! I am happy to know that my car had great service done here.

I broke down a couple miles from here. I called after hours, and got an answer. He said he'd be happy to come and get me and take me to a hotel nearby. As it turns out, I hobbled in on my own with my camper in tow. He said that we'll get started on the jeep at 9am, but it would be ok to pop the camper and save $100. on the hotel. He already had my jeep diagnosed before I could park it. Super nice guy!

The people here are honest, experienced, and have good attitudes. No empty promises about when my car will be ready. My car battery died, and I needed a new one. I came here upon a recommendation from an Enterprise Rent-a-Car associate after a few bad experiences at the nearby Firestone. This is now my go-to repair shop. I'm so glad I found a good one, finally!!
