I never leave bad reviews I’m an honest going person, came by brung my Camaro in for an inspection I had a check engine light and my car was having a loud whistle sound coming from it. They diagnosed it gave me the problems I was having and I went and got the problems fixed by someone else there prices was a bit high, no problem. After fixing the check engine light the loud whistle sound was still occurring. Came by and asked if they diagnosed what that sound was because it wasn’t in the report. They said the check engine light was a separate issue I would have to pay another 140 for the other issue I was having. Why that wasn’t in the first report I don’t know. First guy who came to check on my car act like he didn’t hear anything when I brung it back, then he brung his partner out and his partner obviously heard it and said yea there’s nothing we can do you need to get another diagnostic.

Jacobi, We are sorry to hear you feel that way. Providing honest and quality repairs is always our top priority. As you can see from our many positive reviews, we work very hard to provide every customer with the best possible service. We take our reputation very seriously and would like to take the time to address your concerns and clear a few things up. When you visited our shop on March 22nd, you asked us to diagnose a Misfire code - P0300. You gave us a list of parts that you had already replaced. We diagnosed the misfire, and made you aware of a few other issues on the vehicle. You declined replacement of the fuel injectors as well as the other recommendations. At no point during this visit was there ever a mention of a noise. Today, March 30th, you returned claiming that we did not diagnose your vehicle correctly. You stated that you had the injectors replaced elsewhere and that the misfire is now gone but the noise wasn't fixed. We were never aware of a noise. Our team member went out with you and heard the noise. Please keep in mind that the noise is a separate concern than a check engine light so it would require a second diagnosis. You declined the diagnosis and instead decided to leave our shop a 1-star review, even though we correctly diagnosed your vehicle the first time. We recommended an alternator replacement due to the fact that it wasn't charging, which can cause a whining noise. Also, to replace the fuel injectors, you have to remove the intake and vacuum hoses - all which can cause a noise when not replaced correctly or gaskets not being replaced. Chimney Rock Car Care did not complete any repairs on your vehicle. We completed a diagnosis for a Misfire code and provided you with our recommendations. You visited another shop and had repairs completed at another shop. We hope you understand and hope you reconsider your review. If you would like to discuss this further, please give us a call.
